LASK are one of Austria’s established clubs, founded in 1908 and now based at the Raiffeisen Arena. Their 2026-27 season has them sitting third in the Bundesliga, with a campaign that has also taken in the Champions League qualifying play-offs and the Champions League league phase. Their ÖFB Cup involvement reached the third round.
The squad is sizeable without being especially old: 30 players, with an average age of 25. Christoph Lang has carried the main scoring weight with 10 goals, supported by Samuel Adeniran on seven. Andrés Andrade, Kryštof Daněk and Florian Flecker have each added three.
LASK’s attacking profile is clear enough. They average 2.5 goals at home and concede just 0.8 there, which makes the Raiffeisen Arena a productive setting rather than merely a familiar one. Away from home they still score freely, at 2.3 per match, but the 1.5 conceded points to a side easier to reach once removed from its own ground.
Their recent league run has had both authority and slippage: wins over SV Ried, SCR Altach and Wolfsberger AC were followed by defeat at Sturm Graz, a 3-3 draw at TSV Hartberg and a 2-0 home defeat to Rapid Vienna. They have also struck first inside the opening 20 minutes in eight of 18 league matches, so slow starts against them carry a cost.
For Celtic supporters, the relevant picture is straightforward: LASK are a current top-three Austrian side with a productive attack, strong home numbers and a defence that has looked less secure on the road.
