Sascha Horvath, born on 22 August 1996 (age 30), is an Austrian centre midfielder with LASK. Compact at 5ft 6in (1.68m), he is not built to dominate a midfield physically, so his game has had to stand on movement, timing and use of the ball.
His early career included loan football that helped bridge the gap into regular senior minutes. That period matters in his development: Horvath became a first-team player by playing, rather than by being parked hopefully on the edge of a squad.
At LASK, where he wears the no.30 shirt, his most productive league campaign came in 2021-22, when he scored seven goals in 26 league appearances. For a central midfielder, that was a useful return without needing to dress it up as something more dramatic.
In 2026-27, Horvath has made 10 appearances for LASK across all competitions, scoring twice. That includes seven Bundesliga appearances with one goal, two Champions League qualifiers and one Champions League appearance.
Horvathβs career has been that of a tidy, established Austrian midfielder: developed through early loan experience, productive at his best for LASK, and still part of their first-team picture.
