Xavier Mbuyamba is a Dutch central defender, born on 31 December 2001 (age 24), and now with LASK, where he wears number four. At 6ft 5in (1.95m), he is an imposing presence, which is no bad starting point for a centre-half.
The main part of his senior career has come at FC Volendam. Across four seasons there, Mbuyamba made 87 league appearances and scored 11 league goals, a decent return for a defender. His strongest league campaign was 2022–23, when he scored five times in 28 appearances.
He is now at LASK, and in 2026–27 has made seven Bundesliga appearances, scoring once. He has also played twice in Champions League qualifiers and once in the Champions League, giving him 10 appearances and one goal in all competitions for the club.
Mbuyamba’s career so far is shaped chiefly by his Volendam spell, with LASK now the next stage. He remains a developing defender with a solid body of senior football behind him.
