Rafael Leão, born on 10 June 1999 (age 27), is a Portugal international left winger whose career has been shaped overwhelmingly by AC Milan. He is not a passing feature there: across eight seasons he has made 227 league appearances and scored 63 league goals.
His best league return came in 2022–2023, when he scored 15 times in 35 appearances. That remains the clearest single-season marker of his attacking value, though his place in the side has hardly faded. In 2025–2026 he has made 29 Serie A appearances, scoring nine goals, with 31 appearances and 10 goals in all competitions for Milan.
Leão has also remained involved with Portugal this season, featuring once at the World Cup and three times in European World Cup qualifying. His market value is around £42.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
At 27, Leão is still a regular first-team presence at AC Milan, playing from the left and carrying a notable share of their attacking output. His career to this point is, plainly, a Milan career with a Portuguese international thread running through it.
