Iurie Iovu

Iurie Iovu has made one Premiership appearance this season, coming on as a substitute, and has added two League Cup appearances and one Scottish Cup appearance; that pattern of brief league minutes combined with cup involvement suggests a squad rotational role with the coaching staff deploying him primarily for depth.

Iurie Iovu has a season average rating of 6.54, with the highest and lowest ratings identical at 6.54 – that identical range reflects a very small sample of recorded ratings and indicates a consistent but narrowly sampled level of performance so far this campaign.

Iurie Iovu is 24, a central defender from Moldova who plays for Dundee United. His career has included a free transfer from Cagliari to Venezia in August 2022, a loan to Istra 1961 in August 2022 that led to a permanent move in January 2023, a loan to Alaves in January 2025 and a subsequent transfer to Dundee United in July 2025; the sequence represents several short-term moves and a transition from Italian registration to a settled contract in the Scottish Premiership.

Iovu moved from Cagliari to Venezia on a free transfer in August 2022, joined Istra 1961 initially on loan in August 2022 before a permanent switch in January 2023 for an undisclosed sum, spent time on loan at Alaves in January 2025 and was transferred to Dundee United for €170000 in July 2025 – the record combines free moves, loans, an undisclosed fee and a paid transfer.
