Gustaf Lagerbielke, born in Stockholm on 10 April 2000 (age 26), is a Swedish central defender now with SC Braga. An imposing 6ft 3in (1.91m), he is a right-footed centre-half by trade and wears number 4 for the Portuguese club.
His senior career took shape in Sweden, where his most productive league season came with Degerfors IF in 2022, scoring three times in 14 appearances. That helped put him on a path to IF Elfsborg, from where Celtic signed him in August 2023 for around £3m.
Lagerbielke’s Celtic spell was not a long one, but it did bring a Scottish Cup winner’s medal. He left in July 2025, joining SC Braga for around £2m, a move that took him into Liga Portugal after two years tied to the Scottish champions.
At Braga, he has made five appearances across all competitions in 2026-27, including two in Liga Portugal and three in Conference League qualifying. He has also remained involved with Sweden, appearing in World Cup and World Cup qualifying fixtures, scoring once in the qualifiers.
His current market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt. Lagerbielke’s career has so far moved from Sweden to Celtic and on to Braga, with his international involvement keeping him in the wider Swedish picture.
