Gjivai Zechiël, born on 1 June 2004 (age 22), is a Dutch centre midfielder with Feyenoord. Compact at 5ft 7in (1.71m), he is not built like the modern midfield unit, but his recent scoring record suggests there is a bit more to his game than simple circulation.
His most productive league season came at FC Utrecht in 2025-26, when he scored eight goals in 34 appearances. For a central midfielder, that is useful output rather than decorative promise.
At Feyenoord in 2026-27, Zechiël has made 11 appearances in all competitions and scored six goals. That includes five goals in eight Eredivisie appearances, along with two Champions League appearances and one goal. He has also represented the Netherlands this season, making two Nations League appearances.
His current market value is around £6m, according to Transfermarkt. At this stage, his career is still taking shape: productive at Utrecht, now contributing at Feyenoord, and already involved with the Netherlands.
