Yan Dhanda, born 14 December 1998 in England, is a 27-year-old professional footballer currently plying his trade as a central attacking midfielder for Dundee. Dhanda is relatively slight in build, standing at approximately 5ft 8in (1.73m) tall, and weighing in at around 10st 3lb (65kg). He can typically be seen wearing the Dundee number 21 jersey.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is approximately worth around £425k, a fairly moderate sum in the lavish world of football.
Dhanda began his senior career in July 2018, transferring from Liverpool in the English Premier League to Swansea City in the English Championship. His debut season (2018-19) at Swansea City saw him make five first team appearances, scoring a single goal in these league matches. In the 2019-2020 season, his appearances increased to 16, and he secured three goals. He further cemented his place in the squad in the 2020-2021 season with 26 outings and another goal. His final season at Swansea (2021-2022) was more muted, featuring in just three league matches.
In July 2022, he made his journey north of the border, transferring to Ross County in the Scottish Championship. Here, he was more prominently featured, making 30 first team appearances in the 2022-2023 season, scoring five goals. He repeated this goal tally in the following 2023-2024 season, increasing his appearances to 35.
Dhanda's time at Ross County earned him a transfer to Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, in July 2024. He made 25 league appearances during his one-season tenure (2024-2025). His stay was brief, and by August 2025, he had relocated to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, albeit on a loan basis.
For the ongoing 2025-2026 season, Dhanda has already made 24 appearances and has netted twice in league matches for Dundee. Furthermore, he has taken part in the Scottish Cup for Dundee, with two starts to his name. As his career continues, we not-so-patiently wait, with interest, to see how this midfielder's journey unfolds.
