Tawanda Maswanhise, born on 20th November 2002 in England, is a young footballer making his name in the world of professional football. At 22 years of age, he's a forward who primarily serves Motherwell from the left-wing position. He is not the tallest of footballers, standing at 5ft 8in (1.75m) in height, but his physicality is evident with a respectable weight of 10st 12lb (69kg). Adorning the number 55 jersey, Maswanhise holds his own on the pitch.
It is no surprise that his current market value is approximately £300k as per Transfermarkt. The value could see a significant increase with time, barring any unexpected turns in his current contract with Motherwell, which effectively remains in place till 6th January 2025.
Backtracking a bit to July 2019, that's when Maswanhise joined Leicester City in the Premier League. It was a significant move for the young footballer whose career was in its burgeoning phase. Fast-forward to August 2024, and Maswanhise found himself driving north of the border to Scotland, leaving behind Leicester City and the Premier League for Motherwell in the Premiership.
Despite his transfer, Maswanhise's performance has remained notable. He has been solid in his participation in the League Cup 2024 - 2025 for Motherwell with two starts and one appearance as a substitute, as well as making his mark in the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025 with one start.
He is indeed a player to keep an eye on in the world of Scottish football, and who knows? Perhaps one day we may see him back at Celtic.
