A nod of the head to Stephen Duke-McKenna. Born on the 17th of August 2000, the lad is celebrating his 24th year on Earth. Native to England, Duke-McKenna is ambitious enough to consider himself a footballer. Kicking a ball around the middle of the park for St Johnstone primarily, he stands at a towering 5 feet and 6 inches in height, or 1.7 metres if you've a mind for such things. Comes in at about 10 stone 3 pounds heavy, or 65 kilos if you use a scale that operates in continental units.
The boy's current market value is reportedly about £130k, or at least that's what Transfermarkt would have you believe. He's also got a contract with St Johnstone that's just about on its last legs, with a matter of four whole months left before it gasps its final breath on the 31st of May, 2025. What an exciting time to be alive.
As for his illustrious career thus far, Duke-McKenna graced the pitch once for the Queens Park Rangers way back in the heady days of 2020 - 2021. Made the grand total of one appearance for the side.
In the following year of 2022 - 2023, he dazzled a crowd of fans with his dynamic displays, not once, but a presumptuous eight times for Leyton Orient. I kid you not.
Fast forward to 2023 - 2024, and he was back on the pitch with Queens Park Rangers again where he turned out a whopping 5 times.
In this pleasant season of 2024 - 2025, the wee man's intricate footwork and refined technique have been witnessed by no one, as he has yet to show up for a first team appearance for St Johnstone. Such a thrill indeed, what a promising start to his Scottish adventure.
