Shane Blaney is a Republic of Ireland central defender, born on 20 January 1999 (age 27). At a commanding 6ft 3in (1.91m), he is built for the position rather than borrowed for it, and is currently with Livingston.
His most productive league season came at Motherwell in 2023-24, when he scored two goals in 24 appearances. For a centre-half, that is a useful return rather than something to get carried away about, but it marked a solid stretch of regular football in Scotland.
Blaney now wears number 27 at Livingston. His market value is around £255,000, according to Transfermarkt. His career so far is that of an established professional defender working across the Scottish game.
