Sean McArdle, born on 27 August 2007 (age 19), is a Scottish central midfielder whose early senior career has been shaped mainly by Partick Thistle. He made five league appearances for the Firhill club in one season, enough to make that spell the main reference point in a career still at an early stage.
Celtic brought him in from Partick Thistle in January 2026. It was a move from a modest first-team platform into a much larger one, with the usual caveat that young midfielders tend to find the queue at Celtic fairly long.
His market value is around £85,000, according to Transfermarkt. For now, McArdle’s senior profile is straightforward: a young Scottish midfielder, first seen properly at Partick Thistle, then taken on by Celtic.
