Seán Boyd, born on 20 June 1998 (age 28), is a Republic of Ireland striker whose senior career has settled most clearly at Shelbourne. At 6ft 5in (1.95m), he is an imposing centre-forward, and the early loan football in his career gave him the senior grounding before his longer run at Tolka Park took shape.
Shelbourne has been the main body of his work. Across five seasons he has made 112 league appearances and scored 32 league goals, with 2022 his strongest return: 11 goals in 29 league matches. That is the sort of output that gives a striker standing without needing much embroidery.
He remained part of the Shelbourne first-team picture in 2026, making 23 league appearances and scoring four goals in the Premier Division. His career to this point is a straightforward one: early development, then a sustained spell at Shelbourne where he has been a regular and useful attacking presence.
