Ross MacIver, born on the 28th of February 1998, is a Scottish forward who currently dons the number 9 jersey for Falkirk. Primarily playing as a striker, MacIver stands at a height of 6 feet (1.84m) and weighs 11st 11lb (75kg).
Regarded as one of Scotland's prospective talents, MacIver commands a market value of around £106k according to Transfermarkt. His contract with Falkirk is set to run until the 31st of May 2027.
MacIver embarked on his professional journey in July 2017 when he joined Ross County. After an initial stint there, he was loaned to Forfar Athletic in January 2018. Following the completion of his loan period, he returned to Ross County in June 2018. His performance there secured him a loan to Elgin City, another Championship club in Scotland, in February 2019.
In August 2019, MacIver saw a permanent change as he moved from Ross County to Motherwell in the Premiership. During his time at Motherwell between 2019 and 2021, MacIver made a total of eight appearances, scoring one goal. However, much of this period saw MacIver on loan at Greenock Morton from September 2020 to January 2021, before returning to Motherwell.
Seeking regular first team action, MacIver transferred to Partick Thistle on loan in March 2021, before moving permanently in July the same year. His stint at Thistle was short as he moved to Alloa Athletic in February 2022, initially on loan, before making the move permanent later that year. MacIver's time at Alloa saw him make 28 appearances, netting five goals during the 2022-2023 season.
In a move to further his development, MacIver transferred from Alloa Athletic to Falkirk in July 2023. With Falkirk, MacIver seems to have found stability, making regular appearances and scoring key goals. In the 2024-2025 season, he made 20 appearances, netting three times. The current 2025-2026 season has seen MacIver make two first team appearances, finding the back of the net once.
In addition to his league contributions, MacIver has also been impactful in domestic cup competitions. The 2025-2026 League Cup saw him score once in two starts, along with three appearances as a substitute. He also started a game in the 2024-2025 Scottish Cup, reinforcing his value to Falkirk.
