Rocky Bushiri (born 30 November 1999, age 26) is a DR Congolese central defender whose senior career has settled firmly at Hibernian. His early years included loan football, the sort of practical education young centre-halves tend either to use or be exposed by, and it helped carry him towards a longer run in Edinburgh.
At Hibs, Bushiri has become a regular part of the landscape rather than a passing name. Wearing the No 33 shirt, he has made 110 league appearances across six seasons, scoring six times. His best attacking return came in 2024-25, when he scored three league goals in 28 appearances – useful enough from a centre-back without pretending he was there to solve everything at the other end.
In 2026-27, he has made one Scottish Cup appearance for Hibernian. His form this season has been solid, although he has been outside the matchday squad recently, with his last outing listed as Hibs’ 0-1 defeat to Motherwell on 16 May 2026.
Bushiri’s career to date is, in plain terms, a Hibernian career: shaped by early loans, then defined by a sustained spell at Easter Road.
