Rockedric "Rocky" Bushiri, born on 30 November 1999 in Belgium, is a 25-year-old central defender playing for Hibernian FC in Scotland. Standing 6ft 1in (1.87m) tall and weighing 13st 12lb (88kg), Bushiri sports the number 33 jersey and has also represented the Democratic Republic of Congo at international level.
In July 2016, Bushiri joined Oostende in Belgium's third-tier Derde Klasse as a trainee, making a rather unremarkable debut with only two first team appearances in the 2017-2018 season. The following year, in August 2018, he was loaned to Eupen in the Challenger Pro League of Belgium, where he made his mark with 23 appearances during the season.
Moving southwards to England in July 2019, Bushiri transferred from Oostende to Norwich City in the Championship for an undisclosed fee. He was then loaned out numerous times, firstly to Blackpool in August 2019, then to Sint-Truiden in January 2020, where he made seven first team appearances in the Belgian Pro League.
Bushiri spent the 2020-2021 season on loan at Mechelen in the Belgian Pro League, making a handful of appearances before once again returning to Eupen, where he was limited to just a single first team appearance.
In January 2022, Bushiri made the move up north, on loan from Norwich City to Hibernian in Scotland's Premiership. He slowly amassed his playing time, starting with 14 first team appearances in the 2021-2022 season and eventually extending to 28 appearances, with three goals, in the 2024-2025 season.
By July 2022, Bushiri's transfer to Hibernian had been finalized for an undisclosed fee, and he has been with them ever since. Despite the frequent shuffling of his career, Bushiri seemed to have found stability in Scotland, having already made two appearances and scored one goal in the current 2025-2026 season.
In the non-league games, Bushiri participated in the Scottish Cup 2024-2025 for Hibernian, where he scored one goal in three starts. He also represented DR Congo in the African World Cup Qualifiers 2024-2026, starting one match. For the Hibs, he started in two matches each in the Europa League Qualifiers 2025-2026 and Conference League Qualifiers 2025-2026, netting a goal in the former.
