Riccardo Orsolini, an Italian native born on the 24th of January, 1997, is currently 28 years of age. Primarily a right winger, he comfortably fills the forward role for the Serie A Italian club, Bologna. Measuring at 6 feet (1.83m) in height, and weighing in at about 11st 6lb (73kg), he is a formidable figure on the pitch, easily recognised in his number 7 jersey. Orsolini has been given the honor of representing his home nation in international games as a part of the Italian national team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be around £21m.
In July 2015, Orsolini began his professional career with Ascoli in Italy's Serie C. He made nine first team appearances during his first season (2015-2016), though it was in the following season (2016-2017) that he truly started to leave a mark with 41 appearances and eight goals.
January 2017 brought a change of scenery for Orsolini, as he was sold to Juventus in Italy's Serie A for a noteworthy fee of about £5.1m. That month also experienced another shift as Juventus loaned Orsolini back to Ascoli. Despite the ongoing changes, he managed to impress with 41 appearances and eight goals during the season.
Come July 2017, Orsolini found himself on the move once more, but this time to Atalanta in Serie A, again on a loan deal. His performances remained steady with eight first-team appearances in the 2017-2018 season.
However, the pendulum swung again in January 2018, with Juventus sending him on loan to Bologna in Serie A. It was here that Orsolini gained consistency, making over 30 appearances and scoring possible double figures in each season from 2017 onwards. Eventually, in July 2019, Bologna made the deal permanent, acquiring Orsolini from Juventus for £14m.
Orsolini's stint at Bologna has proven fruitful for both player and club. In the ongoing season of 2025-2026, he has made 19 appearances, already scoring seven goals. He has also represented Bologna and Italy in various competitions, including the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024-2026, the Supercoppa 2025-2026, and the Europa League 2025-2026.
Clearly, Riccardo Orsolini has become an invaluable piece in Bologna's squad and the national team, and it will be fascinating to observe the further heights he can scale in his career.
