Radek Vítek, born on 24 October 2003 (age 22), is a Czech goalkeeper on Manchester United’s books. A towering 6ft 6in (1.98m) presence, he wears squad number 40 and is valued at around £5m by Transfermarkt.
His senior career has been shaped away from Manchester United, rather than by any great run there. The first proper run of games came at Blau-Weiss Linz in 2024-25, when he made 26 league appearances and began putting together the kind of routine match experience young goalkeepers tend to need more than they need another training-ground compliment.
Bristol City, though, is where the career has the most substance so far. Vítek made 41 league appearances there in one season, a sizeable body of work for a developing goalkeeper and the spell that most clearly defines his profile at this stage.
He was linked with a move to Celtic in July 2026 while at Manchester United. For now, his career is best read as a young Czech goalkeeper with Manchester United registration, useful senior grounding in Austria, and his strongest footballing case built at Bristol City.
