Peter Urminský was born on 24th May 1999 in Slovakia. As of now, aged 25, he acts as a bulwark for St Mirren as their proficient goalkeeper. Standing tall at 6ft 4in (1.95m) and weighing 13st 5lb (85kg), he's an imposing figure betwixt the posts. He proudly sports the number 27 jersey with the sinew of his goalkeeping narrative sewn into its fabric.
His career trajectory initiated when, in July 2016, he joined Spartak Trnava in the First Football League in Slovakia. However, a bigger chapter beckoned in the life of this aspiring keeper in January 2020. He left the precincts of Spartak Trnava to experience the rugged charm of Scottish football and made his way to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.
The baptismal season of 2022-2023 at St Mirren saw Urminský taking to the field once in league matches. However, in the current season of 2024-2025, he has yet to feature in any of St Mirren's league battles.
In the midst of his duties at St Mirren, a small hiatus ensued when in February 2021, he was loaned out to Ayr United in the Scottish Championship. By June of that year, Urminský was back at his parent club, St Mirren.
The beginning of the year 2022 witnessed a similar sequence as Urminský was given on loan to Stenhousemuir, a League One club in Scotland. His stay there, however, was as brief as a month with him returning to St Mirren in February.
Observers might have had a sense of déjà vu, as in the same month, Urminský was again loaned out to Stenhousemuir. After a month's stay, March saw him returning back to St Mirren. Yet, the rest of the year 2022 had more of the same monotonous subplot for this keeper. He was loaned out thrice to Stenhousemuir in March, April, and June, with him consistently returning back to St Mirren. His debut season 2022 - 2023 having one first team appearance in St Mirren was followed by none to date in the current season 2024 - 2025.
Fans shall be hoping Urminský gets a consistent run of matches soon to showcase his abilities that had them impressed in Slovakia, his homeland.
