Oliver Antman, a Finnish bloke born on the 15th August 2001 (currently at the prime age of 24), made his way to the windswept pitches of Scotland and somehow finds himself plying his trade at Rangers. Standing at a respectable 1.85m (or 6ft in real measurements) and weighing in at 73kg (11st 6lb), Antman mostly occupies the wing, and apparently also holds down the revered number 18 jersey. The lad also does his bit at the national level for Finland.
According to good old Transfermarkt (god bless their never inaccurate valuations), he's worth around £3.8m. If you believe in that sort of thing.
Before Rangers got their hands on him, our boy Oliver had quite the wee trip around the footy world. Starting in Finland (exotic), in August 2018 he moved from IF Gnistan to FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark for a king's ransom of, brace yourselves, £45k. He managed to push himself into the first team, playing a total of 90 matches and netting himself 12 goals over six seasons.
In the middle of that stint, in January 2023, the lad fancied a break from the Superliga and took a wee holiday to FC Groningen in the Eredivisie on loan. He made a grand total of 11 appearances and scored 2 goals in his Dutch adventure, before inevitably being dragged back to Denmark.
But he didn't stay put for long. In August 2024, Antman transferred to Go Ahead Eagles in the Netherlands for a slightly more respectable fee of £1.3m. He made 32 appearances and scored six goals that season. Still not quite Messi-like, but better.
Finally, our journeyman ended up at Rangers in Scotland in August 2025, for the quaint sum of £3m. As of the 2025-2026 season, Antman has made 12 appearances and scored one, yes just one, goal. And for a striker, you’d think he’d score more.
In terms of silverware, he's not exactly been rushed off his feet. He managed two appearances in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Rangers, a single start for the Scottish Cup 2025-2026, and was a part of Champions League Qualifiers 2025-2026 and the Europa League 2025-2026 for Rangers. He’s also been seen at the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024-2026, showing off for Finland, and even managed to score one in eight starts. Well, everyone loves a trier, don't they?
