Mykola Kukharevych, better known in the world of football simply as Kuharevich, was born on 1 July 2001 in the heart of Ukraine. Fast forward 23 years, he is now a forward who plies his trade primarily as a striker for Hibernian, donning the number 99 jersey with pride. Standing at an impressive 6ft 3in (1.93m) tall, and weighing in at 12st 6lb (79kg), Kuharevich is a commanding presence on the pitch.
Kukharevych began his football journey in earnest in July 2014, joining Volyn Lutsk in the Persha Liha in Ukraine as a trainee. A significant move came in February 2020 when he transferred from Volyn Lutsk to Rukh Lviv in the Premier League of Ukraine. The fee remained undisclosed. Despite it being his debut season, Kukharevich managed to make six first team appearances and bagged two goals.
By July 2021, Kuharevich was on the move again. This time, he transferred to Troyes, a club in the Ligue 2 in France, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed. Shortly after, he was loaned to Oud-Heverlee Leuven in Belgium's Pro League where he made a combined ten appearances over two seasons.
By September 2022, Kuharevich had made the transition to Scottish football. He was loaned to Hibernian in Scotland's Premiership, where he made a notable impact with 15 appearances and five goals in his inaugural season. In his current season (2024 - 2025), he has already made 17 appearances and netted four goals. A detour saw him move to Swansea City in England's Championship in the intervening period, but he couldn't resist the allure of Scottish football, returning to Hibernian.
Kuharevich's talents have not only been limited to league football. He has graced both the League Cup and the Scottish Cup for Hibernian in the 2024 - 2025 season, scoring once in the former, and making two starts in the latter. Kuharevich's journey, although seemingly nomadic, has been marked by a drive to succeed, leaving a trail of goals and appearances in his wake.
