Sip a dram and lend an ear, we've got the illustrious tale of Mikey Moore for you. This plucky lad, born on the 11th of August 2007 in the green fields of England, fancies himself a forward with a taste for the left wing. Given the countless English lads who've fancied themselves the same, this isn't particularly noteworthy but it's a factual point all the same.
Moore stands at 5ft 10in (or 1.8m for the continental viewers), a giant in the land of hobbits and weighs in at a hearty 11st 11lb (or 75kg for those who prefer their weights a mite less traditional). Like half the players in the country he sports the number 47 jersey, an entirely unremarkable choice of digits that unfortunately tells us nothing at all about his character.
Moore's current market value is purportedly around the figure of €16m. Granted, that's according to Transfermarkt, a site whose reliability is obviously unquestionable. If we put it into the Queen's English (without bringing up Her Majesty of course) that's roughly £13.5m. Clearly, someone out there has seen something in our Moore beyond a fondness for the left wing and the number 47.
In the year of 2022, our intrepid Moore left his homeland for the grassy knoll of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Seasons 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 brought us the spectacle of two, and then ten league matches respectively, all with Moore gracing the pitch. Tremendously exciting stuff, I'm sure you'll agree.
Moore's career took an arguably more interesting turn in August 2025 when he turned his back on England and hot-footed it to play for the Rangers in Scotland. During the 2025 - 2026 season at Rangers, Moore has graced us with his presence in nine first team appearances and even managed to put the ball in the back of the net once, surely a cause for much jubilation.
Not only has he been appearing for Rangers in league matches, but he’s also dipped his toes in the League Cup, Champions League qualifiers, and Europa League waters. A true jack of all trades; we might yet see Moore winning the bingo at the local pub. Hang on to your kilts, ladies and gentlemen, Mikey Moore may yet surprise us.
