Martin Moormann

Martin Moormann of Motherwell was born in Stockerau, Austria on 30 April 2001 (age 25).

Martin Moormann, born on 30 April 2001 (age 25), is an Austrian central defender with Motherwell, where he wears the number five shirt.

His early senior football included a spell with Rapid Vienna II. The 2021-22 season was his most productive league campaign there, bringing one goal in nine appearances – modest enough, but a useful step in the usual hard-work route for a young centre-half.

At Motherwell in 2026-27, Moormann has made seven league appearances, along with one League Cup outing and five in Conference League qualifying, where he has scored once. Across all competitions for the club, he has made 13 appearances and scored one goal.

Moormann’s career so far has been that of a developing Austrian defender building senior experience across reserve, domestic and European qualifying football, with Motherwell now the main stage for his progress.
