Marley Watkins, born on 17 October 1990 (age 35), is a Welsh striker with a career split across English and Scottish football. He is now with Kilmarnock, where his experience gives their forward line a more seasoned edge than most developing players can offer.
His most productive league campaign came at Barnsley in 2016–17, when he scored 10 goals in 42 appearances. That remains the clearest attacking return of his career, not spectacular, but useful and durable over a full season.
Watkins has built a solid professional career rather than a headline one. From Barnsley to Kilmarnock, he has largely been a practical forward: mobile, experienced, and capable of doing enough work across the front line to keep finding clubs at a good level.
