Born on 23rd June 1994, Marcus Fraser is a robust defender currently plying his trade for St Mirren in Scotland. Standing 6ft (1.84m) tall and weighing a sturdy 12st 12lb (82kg), Fraser wears the number 22 jersey with a commanding presence. Originating from Scotland, Fraser learned his craft in the heartlands of football.
Fraser's footballing journey started in earnest when he joined Celtic as a trainee in July 2012, participating in the hustle and bustle of Scottish Premiership football. During his debut season, 2012-2013, Fraser made a single first-team appearance for the team, gaining the invaluable experience of playing amidst the lofty heights of Scottish professional football.
September 2014 marked Fraser's departure from Celtic on a temporary basis. He was shipped out on loan to Cowdenbeath, a team competing in the less glamorous surroundings of the Lowland League. Despite the change of scene, Fraser was a regular feature for the team during his loan spell, making 11 first team appearances in the 2014-2015 season.
In January 2015, Fraser's Celtic days came to an end. He transferred permanently to Ross County, a club in the Scottish Championship. It was here that Fraser truly found his footing in the world of professional football, making 16 appearances and scoring a single goal during his initial half-season.
Fraser continued to perform robustly for Ross County, racking up multiple appearances over the following seasons until his departure in July 2020. His performance stats during his time at Ross County includes 29 appearances in 2015-2016, 32 appearances in 2016-2017, 38 appearances in 2017-2018, and 26 appearances scoring one goal in the 2019-2020 season.
Leaving Ross County behind, Fraser transferred to St Mirren, back in the Scottish Premiership, in July 2020. Ever since then, Fraser has been consistently holding his own in the top flight of Scottish football. In the 2020-2021 season, Fraser made 37 appearances and scored one goal. He continued his strong performances in subsequent seasons; in the last completed season, 2025-2026, Fraser has made 27 first team appearances and has scored once.
Fraser's considerable contributions extend beyond the realms of league football. In the current 2025 - 2026 season, Fraser has participated in the League Cup for St Mirren, scoring one goal in seven starts. He also featured extensively in the Scottish Cup for St Mirren, earning three starts.
