Luis Palma was born in La Ceiba, Honduras, on 17 January 2000 (age 26), and made his name at Vida before European football became part of the conversation. His most productive league season came there in 2020-2021, when he scored 13 goals in 26 appearances – a proper return from the left side rather than a promise dressed up as end product.
Aris FC was the next step, and Celtic moved for him in August 2023, paying around £3.5m to bring him to Glasgow. A left winger with the number 7 shirt, Palma arrived with enough edge in his game to be interesting, though not so much that anyone needed to start engraving anything.
His Celtic spell has since included a loan to Lech Poznan, where he has remained busy in 2025-2026. He has made 44 appearances across all competitions for the Polish side, scoring 11 goals, including nine in 29 league games. He has also featured in European qualifiers and the Conference League, so the loan has not been a quiet holding pattern.
There was outgoing transfer speculation involving Lech Poznan in January 2025, which was hardly a surprise given his Celtic connection and need for regular football. His current market value is around £3m, according to Transfermarkt.
Palma’s career so far has moved from Honduras to Greece, then Celtic, and now regular football on loan in Poland. He remains a Celtic player, with his next step still tied to whether his production abroad can translate into a clearer role back in Glasgow.
