Lazar Samardzic, born on 24 February 2002 (age 24), is a Serbia international attacking midfielder with Atalanta. His market value is around £17m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career has been shaped chiefly by Udinese, where he made 93 league appearances and scored 13 league goals across three seasons. The 2023–24 campaign was his most productive there, with six goals in 34 league games, and it gave him the sort of steady Serie A footing that tends to matter more than the usual noise around promising midfielders.
At Atalanta in 2025–26, Samardzic remains a regular first-team presence. He has made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals, including 26 Serie A appearances with two goals and 10 Champions League appearances with four goals. He has also played seven times for Serbia in World Cup qualifying.
Samardzic is still only 24, but his career already has a clear shape: established at Udinese, now involved regularly at Atalanta, and carrying a growing role with Serbia.
