Killian Phillips was born in the USA on 30 March 2002, making him a sprightly 23 years of age. A commanding presence in the midfield, he stands at 6ft 2in (1.9m) tall and weighs a solid 13st 5lb (85kg). He currently plies his trade for St Mirren in Scotland, donning the number 88 jersey and acting primarily as a central midfielder. In addition to showcasing his skills on the Scottish stage, Phillips has also had the honour of representing the Republic of Ireland at the international level.
Phillips' football journey first kicked off in earnest in January 2020 when he joined Drogheda United, a Premier Division team in Ireland. In his inaugural 2021 season with Drogheda United, he made an impressive 30 appearances on the first team and netted the ball twice in league matches.
His performance evidently caught the eye of talent scouts from across the pond. Subsequently, in January 2022, he made the big leap from Drogheda to Crystal Palace, a Premier League club in England. The details of the transfer fee, however, remains a closely guarded secret.
Phillips' time at Crystal Palace was followed by a series of loan spells, the first of which saw him join Shrewsbury Town, an English League Two side, in January 2023. During this stint, he recorded ten appearances and one goal in league matches. Then, in August of the same year, he was sent on his second loan spell to Wycombe Wanderers, an English League One side.
In January 2024, Phillips crossed borders again—this time to the Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen. Although a short-term loan, he managed to make ten first-team appearances in the league. His impressive performance led to another loan spell; this time to St Mirren in Scotland, lasting from August 2024.
With the Saints, Phillips had an outstanding season; he made 35 first team appearances and scored four goals in league matches. As a testament to his contributions, St Mirren signed him permanently in July 2025 from Crystal Palace. In his current season at St Mirren, 2025 - 2026, he has already made six first-team appearances.
Beyond his league duties, Phillips has also left his mark in cup competitions. In the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025, he made two starts for St Mirren, and in the League Cup 2025 - 2026, he added another feather to his cap with four goals from six starts. On the international front, he made his debut in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026 for the Republic of Ireland, making a solitary substitute appearance.
