Julián Araujo, born on 13 August 2001 (age 24), is a Mexico international right-back who joined Celtic from Bournemouth in January 2026. His current market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt.
The main body of his career was built at LA Galaxy, where he made 100 league appearances across four seasons. That spell still carries most of the weight in his profile: regular football, senior responsibility, and a clear platform before the moves that followed. His most productive league season there came in 2020, when he scored once in 17 appearances.
His Bournemouth spell did not add much in league terms, with no league appearances recorded there in 2025-26, but it was part of the route that led him to Celtic. After arriving in Glasgow in January 2026, he made 10 league appearances and scored once in the remainder of the season.
Araujo has also remained involved with Mexico, making two Gold Cup appearances in the same season. His career so far is shaped chiefly by LA Galaxy, followed by a quieter Bournemouth period and a mid-season move to Celtic.
