Joe Wright, born on 26 February 1995 (age 31), is a Welsh central defender whose career has been shaped most clearly by his time at Kilmarnock. A commanding 6ft 4in (1.93m) centre-half, he has built his game around the sort of presence that tends to travel well in the Scottish and English lower divisions.
Kilmarnock was where Wright put together the main body of his senior work. Across three seasons, he made 91 league appearances and scored 10 league goals, a solid return for a defender. His most productive league campaign came in 2022–2023, when he scored five times in 34 appearances.
He later moved on to Bradford City, where he wears the number 4 shirt and remains a regular first-team figure.
