Jens Odgaard, born on 31 March 1999, is a Danish forward, primarily a striker, currently plying his trade at Bologna. He stands tall at 6ft 2in (1.88m) and tips the scale at 12st 8lb (80kg). The number 21 jersey is what he dons each match. Transfermarkt quotes his current market value at approximately £10.5m.
Odgaard's journey into professional football began with Lyngby in Denmark's 1. division in July 2016. While his debut season in 2016-2017 saw him making just seven first team appearances and netting a solitary goal in league matches, it was enough to pique the interest of Italian Serie A side, Inter Milan, with whom he transferred in July 2017 for a sum of around £1.3m.
After a season with the Nerazzuri, Odgaard moved to Sassuolo in July 2018 for approximately £4.5m, but only managed one league appearance during the 2018-2019 season. A year later, the forward was loaned to Netherlands' Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen for the 2019-2020 season. Ongoing stints at Lugano in Switzerland's Super League (2020-2021) and Pescara in Italy’s Serie B (second half of 2020-2021) followed, before another loan engagement with RKC Waalwijk in the Eerste Divisie in Netherlands for the 2021-2022 season.
In July 2022, Odgaard's rights were transferred from Sassuolo to AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie for a fee of around £3.7m. His time in the Netherlands saw him score ten times over two seasons. Then in February 2024, he was loaned to Bologna, and was later permanently transferred in July for approximately £3.4m. He has since made a total of 54 appearances for the Bolgnese and scored a dozen times.
Odgaard's 2025-2026 season saw him participate in the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa, and Europa League for Bologna. He made a combined total of ten appearances in the aforementioned competitions, starting six times and coming off the bench four times, while also finding the back of the net twice.
