James Wilson (born 6 March 2007, age 19) is a Scottish striker whose senior career has been shaped overwhelmingly at Hearts. Around £1m on Transfermarkt, he is still early in his development, but he already has a proper body of first-team football behind him.
Across four seasons at Hearts, Wilson has made 34 league appearances and scored six league goals. His most productive league campaign came in 2024–25, when he scored five times in 24 appearances – the sort of return that marked him out as more than just another youngster being given polite minutes.
In 2026–27, he has added two league appearances and one league goal, along with one goal in the League Cup and another in Conference League qualifying. In all competitions for Hearts that season, he has three goals from five appearances. For now, his story is a Hearts one: a young Scottish centre-forward building his record at the club where his senior career has taken root.
