James Wilson, born on 6 March 2007 (age 19), is a Scottish striker whose senior career has been shaped above all by Hearts. He is still at the stage where development matters more than neat labels, but his first-team record already gives the story a clear centre.
Across four league seasons with Hearts, Wilson has made 39 league appearances and scored eight goals. His best league return came in 2024-2025, when he scored five times in 24 appearances, a useful step for a young forward learning the trade in a demanding environment.
His 2026-2027 season has kept that progress moving. He has scored three goals in seven league appearances, with further goals in the League Cup and Conference League qualifiers. Across all competitions for Hearts that season, he has five goals in 11 appearances.
Wilson’s market value is around £1m, according to Transfermarkt. For now, his career remains a Hearts one in almost every meaningful sense: a young Scottish striker building appearances, goals and senior experience in the same place.
