Jake Girdwood-Reich

Jake Girdwood-Reich of Motherwell was born in Sydney, Australia on 26 May 2004 (age 22).

Jake Girdwood-Reich, born 26 May 2004 (age 22), is an Australian central defender with Motherwell, where he wears the number three shirt.

His early senior football included a productive 2023-24 league season at Sydney FC, where he made 23 appearances and scored once. For a young centre-half, that was a decent volume of football rather than a footnote.

At Motherwell in 2026-27, he has made seven league appearances, along with one League Cup outing and six appearances in Conference League qualifiers. Across all competitions for the club, he has reached 14 appearances.

Girdwood-Reich’s career is still taking shape: an Australian defender who built early experience at Sydney FC and is now getting senior minutes in Scotland with Motherwell.
