Islam Chesnokov is a Kazakh football player who primarily operates in the forward position, more specifically as a right winger for Hearts FC in Scotland. He was born on the 21st of November, 1999 and stands 6ft tall (1.85m) while sporting quite an athletic physique, weighing in at just under twelve stone (76kg). He dons the number 99 jersey and has also had the honour of representing the Kazakhstan national team.
With a current market value sitting at a nifty €1.20m (£1m), according to Transfermarkt, Chesnokov is considered a promising asset.
Back in February 2023, Chesnokov sprang from Belshina Bobruysk of the First League in Belarus to stamp his mark in the Premier League in Kazakhstan with FC Tobol. His time at Tobol saw him make a total of 68 appearances, distributing the ball effectively into the back of the net 24 times across three seasons between 2023 and 2025.
In the new year of 2026, Chesnokov made a move that would bring him to the lush, green pitches of the Scottish Premiership with Hearts Football Club. With the 2025-2026 season still in play, Chesnokov has made three appearances and already has a goal to his name.
His footballing journey has been one rife with experiences; from representing his club in the 2025-2026 Scottish Cup with a time on the pitch as a substitute, to international call-ups for World Cup Qualifiers for Europe between 2024-2026, where he represented Kazakhstan with six starts and two substitute appearances. Truly a footballer with a promising career on the horizon.
