Gregor Kobel, born on 6 December 1997 (age 28), is a Switzerland goalkeeper with the build for the job: a commanding 6ft 4in (1.93m), and usually wearing the number one shirt for Borussia Dortmund.
His early senior football included time at 1899 Hoffenheim, where his league exposure was limited, but the loan spell route helped move him from prospect to first-team goalkeeper.
