Greg Kiltie, born 18 January 1997 in Scotland, is a central attacking midfielder known for this agile play and rugged determination, calling St Mirren his current home. Standing at a humble 5ft 8in (1.73m) tall and weighing in at 11st (70kg), Kiltie sports the number 11 jersey with pride.
Starting his professional journey as a trainee, Kiltie joined Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership in July 2012. His initial years were spent building his place in the team - with only one first team league appearance in his debut 2012 - 2013 season, which increased to five in his second year. In the 2014 - 2015 season, he made eight league appearances and scored his first two goals. His performance peaked in the 2015 - 2016 season with 35 appearances and six goals but dwindled in the following seasons until 2019.
In October 2014, Kiltie was loaned to Queen of the South in the Scottish League One. His time there was short, only appearing three times in league matches. By November 2014, he returned to Kilmarnock.
The 2019 - 2020 season saw Kiltie loaned once again, this time to Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship, only to return to Kilmarnock by June 2019. Another spell at Dunfermline Athletic in the Championship from September 2019 until January 2020, saw him return to Kilmarnock just in time for the start of the 2020 - 2021 season.
In what seems to be a turning point in his career, Kiltie transferred from Kilmarnock to St Mirren in the Premiership in July 2021. Since then, he has had a resurgence of form, with more than 30 appearances in each of the previous seasons and a respectable goal tally. In the current 2024 - 2025 season, he has already made 23 appearances for St Mirren.
But itโs not just league matches where Kiltie has shown his talents. He was also called upon in the Scottish Cup 2024-2025 for St Mirren, making an appearance as a substitute.
His journey through Scottish football has been punctuated with ups and downs, but it seems the midfielder has finally found a solid ground at St Mirren.
