Franko Kovačević, born on 8 August 1999 (age 27), is a Croatian striker with Ferencvaros. His current market value is around £1m, according to Transfermarkt.
His sharpest league return came at Celje in 2025–26, when he scored 11 goals in 14 appearances. That sort of output explains why his name has carried some interest beyond Slovenia. He was linked with a move to Celtic in January 2026, though the mention was brief enough and best kept in that category.
By 2026–27, Kovačević was with Ferencvaros and had made three Nemzeti Bajnokság I appearances. His form this season has been steady rather than spectacular, which is no bad thing for a forward still trying to turn a productive spell at Celje into something more settled at a bigger club.
