Francis Turley, born on 14 January 2006 (age 20), is a Northern Irish central midfielder on Celtic’s books and currently on loan at Dumbarton.
His career has an early Celtic thread, including a first league appearance in 2024-25, but the senior shape of it so far has been formed more clearly at Ayr United. He made seven league appearances there across one season, enough to give his early career a firmer outline than most academy CVs manage.
Turley returned to Celtic from Ayr United in June 2026. He wears squad number 72, and his current market value is around £106,000, according to Transfermarkt.
In 2026-27, he has been out on loan at Dumbarton, making three League Two appearances. At this stage, his profile is still modest: Celtic background, Ayr United grounding, and a loan spell intended to add senior minutes.
