Evan Ferguson, born on 19 October 2004 (age 21), is a Republic of Ireland striker now with Roma, where he wears the number 11 shirt. His current market value is around ยฃ21.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career is still shaped mainly by Brighton & Hove Albion. Across four seasons there, Ferguson made 60 league appearances and scored 13 league goals, with his best return coming in 2022-2023 when he scored six times in 19 league matches. For a young centre-forward in the Premier League, that was enough to mark him out without quite requiring anyone to lose their head.
Roma is the next significant step rather than a footnote. In 2025-2026 he has remained involved in the first team, making 16 Serie A appearances and scoring three goals, along with six Europa League appearances and two goals. His total for Roma across all competitions stands at 22 appearances and five goals.
He has also stayed relevant internationally, scoring three goals in four World Cup qualifying appearances for the Republic of Ireland this season. Celtic have been linked with a move for him on more than one occasion, including in December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025, while he was at Roma.
Ferguson remains a developing striker with a solid Brighton foundation, a current role at Roma, and regular senior football for club and country.
