Dylan Smith, born on 21 January 2006 (age 20), is a Scottish central defender whose senior career has been shaped overwhelmingly at Ross County. An imposing 6ft 3in (1.90m), he has been used primarily through the middle of the back line.
Early loan football helped give him first-team grounding before his place at County became the main story. His busiest league season so far came in 2022-23, when he made 13 league appearances, a useful run for a young defender still working his way into the senior game.
Across five seasons with Ross County, Smith has made 51 league appearances. In 2026-27, he has added four League One appearances, four League Cup outings and one in the Scottish Cup, taking him to nine appearances for the club across all competitions that season.
Smith’s career remains a Ross County one above all else: a young Scottish centre-half with a steady body of senior football behind him, built through loan experience and a long spell in Dingwall.
