Dodi Lukébakio, born on 24 September 1997 (age 29), is a Belgian striker now with Benfica. His early career was shaped by loan football, the useful if untidy route for a forward needing senior minutes rather than promises.
His strongest league campaign came at Hertha BSC in 2022-23, when he scored 11 goals in 32 appearances. That remains the clearest marker of his output at club level: a forward capable of carrying a decent share of the scoring, without needing the profile inflated beyond the facts.
At Benfica in 2026-27, Lukébakio remains a regular first-team presence. He has made 14 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice, with goals in Europa League qualifying and the Europa League proper. He has also been involved internationally, with Belgium using him across World Cup, World Cup qualifying and Nations League fixtures this season, including two Nations League goals.
His career has settled into that of an established professional forward with experience in Belgium’s national side and in major European leagues. Benfica is the current stage of it, and he is still involved enough to matter.
