David Strelec, born on 4 April 2001 (age 25), is a Slovak striker whose career first took proper shape at Slovan Bratislava. His early loan football was part of that development, giving him senior exposure before he settled into a more productive role back at Slovan.
His best league return came in 2020-21, when he scored nine goals in 25 appearances for Slovan Bratislava. That remains the clearest marker of his club career so far: a useful young forward finding enough rhythm to turn promise into something measurable.
Strelec is now with Middlesbrough. In 2026-27 he has made seven appearances across all competitions, including league, League Cup and Championship play-off football. His current market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also stayed involved with Slovakia, making seven World Cup qualifying appearances this season and scoring twice, along with four Nations League appearances and one goal. His career to date is that of an established professional striker still trying to turn useful spells and international involvement into a steadier club-level record.
