Colby Donovan, born 7 September 2006 (age 20), is a Scottish right-back whose senior career has so far been shaped by Celtic. He remains part of the current squad, still more developing defender than established fixture, with a market value of around £1.5m according to Transfermarkt.
His first sustained involvement came in 2025-26, when he made 14 league appearances for Celtic. He has already been part of a successful period at the club, winning two Premiership titles, in 2024-25 and 2025-26, as well as the 2024-25 League Cup.
In 2026-27, Donovan has added eight league appearances, along with two in the League Cup, two in the Scottish Cup, two in Champions League qualifying and one in the Europa League. That makes 15 Celtic appearances across all competitions for the season, a fair sign of a young full-back being kept close to the first-team picture.
For now, Donovan’s career is straightforward enough: a young Scottish defender at Celtic, accumulating minutes, medals and experience without much need for noise around him.
