Brad Lyons, born 26 May 1997 (age 29), is a Northern Irish centre midfielder with Aberdeen. His early senior grounding came at Coleraine, where the 2016-2017 league season remains his most productive in front of goal: five goals in 24 appearances. That spell gave him proper first-team football rather than the tidier but less useful sort of development players are often promised.
Lyons has remained a steady presence rather than a decorative one. By 2025-2026 he was still firmly involved at Aberdeen, making 31 league appearances and scoring once, with another outing in the Scottish Cup. Across all competitions for the club that season, he has made 32 appearances and scored one goal.
He has also stayed in the Northern Ireland picture, making two appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season. Lyons’ career has been built on regular football, from Coleraine through to Aberdeen, with his current role still very much that of a first-team midfielder.
