Brad Lyons, an Irish sportsman born on 26 May 1997, has made his mark in the world of football as a talented midfielder. Standing at an impressive height of 1.83m (6ft) and weighing in at a solid 76kg (11st 13lb), Lyons is a notable figure on the pitch. He currently plays primarily as a central midfielder for Kilmarnock, sporting the number 8 jersey. His skills have also earned him representation on the Northern Ireland national team.
Lyons initially joined the Premiership in North Ireland with Coleraine as a trainee in July 2014. Throughout his debut season of 2014 - 2015 he made 11 first team appearances and scored two goals in league matches. The next season saw an improvement with Lyons making 30 appearances and four league goals.In the following years, he remained a consistent contributor to the team before transferring.
He changed surroundings in September 2018 when he transferred from Coleraine to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship in England on loan. A few months later, in January 2019, this move turned permanent, transferred on an undisclosed fee. However, Lyons stayed in England was not for long as he was loaned to St Mirren in the Premiership in Scotland the same month. During his short time at St Mirren, he made 15 first team appearances and scored a single goal in league matches. His loan term ended in June 2019, upon which he returned back to the Blackburn Rovers.
Lyons's journey then took another turn in January 2021 when he was once more sent out on loan, this time to Morecambe in the National League in England. After six short months, Lyons transferred permanently from Blackburn Rovers to Kilmarnock in the Premiership in Scotland in July 2021.
Since his transfer, Lyons has made a consistent effort on the field, notably contributing in the 2024-2025 season with 31 first team appearances and one league goal. Up to this current 2025-2026 season, Lyons has made one first team appearance in league matches. He's also had successful runs in the League Cup 2025-2026 for Kilmarnock scoring one goal in three starts and one substitute appearance, as well as the Scottish Cup 2024-2025 for Kilmarnock with a single start. Internationally, he represented Northern Ireland in the Euro Qualifiers 2022-2024 with one start and the Nations League 2024-2025 with two appearances as a substitute.
