Benjamin Tahirovic, born on 3 March 2003 (age 23), is a Bosnia and Herzegovina international defensive midfielder at Brondby. At a commanding 6ft 3in (1.91m), he brings obvious size to the middle of the pitch, though his career is still at the stage where regular football matters more than tidy labels.
His most productive league season so far came at Ajax in 2023-24, when he made 26 appearances and scored twice. That was enough to mark him out as a young midfielder with a proper senior platform, rather than just another name passing through a big academy system.
At Brondby in 2025-26, Tahirovic has remained a regular first-team presence. He has made 25 Superliga appearances, scoring once, and has also played six times in Conference League qualifying. Across all competitions for Brondby, that leaves him on 31 appearances and one goal for the season.
He has also been involved internationally, making 10 European World Cup qualifying appearances for Bosnia-Herzegovina this season and scoring once. His market value is around £4m, according to Transfermarkt.
Tahirovic was linked with a move to Celtic in February 2026 and again in May while at Brondby. For now, his career is that of a developing international midfielder getting regular club football in Denmark after his spell at Ajax.
