Auston Trusty, born on 12 August 1998 (age 28), is an American central defender with the kind of frame that tends to get noticed early. At 6ft 3in (1.91m), he is an imposing presence, though Celtic did not sign him in August 2024 from Sheffield United for around £6m just to stand near centre-forwards and look the part.
Before Glasgow, his clearest spell in British football came at Birmingham City in 2022-2023, when he scored four goals in 44 league appearances.
