Auston Trusty, born on 12 August 1998 and hailing from the United States of America, is a defender predominantly plying his craft as a central defender for Celtic Football Club. He stands tall at 6ft 3in (1.91m) and weighs 12st 1lb (77kg). The number 6 is what you'll find on the back of his Celtic jersey. Besides his club career, he also turns out for the United States national team from time to time.

Trusty started out in football with Philadelphia Union in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the States in January 2016 as a trainee. The 2018 season was his maiden debut for Philadelphia Union, where he made 34 appearances and scored one goal in league matches. He followed that up with 22 appearances and another goal in the 2019 season.
Then, in November 2019, Trusty transferred from Philadelphia Union to Colorado Rapids, another MLS outfit, the transfer fee for which wasn't disclosed. He represented Colorado in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons, making a total of 57 appearances, finding the back of the net once.
The lad then moved over the pond in January 2022 to Arsenal in England's Premier League in a deal worth around £1.6m. After a month, he was out on loan, back to his former club, Colorado Rapids. This stint saw him feature in 57 league matches, repeating his earlier performance of one goal.
In July 2022, another loan move was on the cards, this time Trusty heading to Birmingham City in England's Championship. In the 2022-2023 season at Birmingham City, Trusty made had 44 outings and scored four goals in league matches.
Come August 2023, Trusty was on the move again, this time transferring to Sheffield United, another Championship side, in a deal worth about £5m. In the two seasons spent at Sheffield United, Trusty had 33 outings in league matches.
Trusty then found his way to the legendary Celtic Football Club in the Scottish Premiership in August 2024, in a deal that cost Celtic around £6m. From the 2024-2025 season to the incumbent 2025-2026 season, Trusty has featured in a total of 43 league matches for Celtic, scoring once. He has also had a taste of cup football, playing in the League Cup, Scottish Cup, Champions League Qualifiers, and the Europa League for Celtic, scoring two goals in the Europa League from seven starts.
His time at Celtic so far seems promising, and here's hoping we get to see even more from this talented defender.
