Alex Paulsen, born on 4 July 2002 (age 24), is a New Zealand goalkeeper with Motherwell. An imposing 6ft 4in (1.93m), he wears the number 13 shirt and has the build for the job, which is usually a useful starting point for a keeper.
His early senior league football came with Wellington Phoenix, where the 2021-22 season brought him four league appearances. That was a modest introduction rather than a grand arrival, but it put him on the professional path.
By 2026-27, Paulsen was at Motherwell, where he has made three league appearances and also played six times in Conference League qualifying. Across all competitions for the Fir Park side, he has made nine appearances.
