Alasana Manneh (born 8 April 1998, age 28) is a Gambian centre midfielder with Hibernian, where he wears the number 8 shirt. His early senior development was built around loan spells rather than a straight run into a settled first team, a fairly common route for midfielders who need games more than polish.
He later found a steadier platform at Gornik Zabrze. His most productive league season came there in 2020–21, when he scored three goals in 27 appearances from midfield.
Manneh is now at Hibernian, though his 2025–26 involvement has been limited. He has made one league appearance, along with one League Cup outing, one Europa League qualifier and two Conference League qualifiers, leaving him on five appearances and no goals for the club across all competitions. His market value is around £383,000, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also remained involved with Gambia, making four appearances in African World Cup qualifying this season. His career so far is that of an established professional midfielder: shaped by early loans, most visible in Poland, and currently in a limited role at Hibs.
