Alan Forrest

Forrest has made eight Premiership appearances (five starts, three as substitute) in the 2026–2027 season, scoring 0 goals in the league and one goal in three League Cup appearances – the breakdown suggests a squad rotation role for Dundee, with greater offensive return in cup fixtures than in the Premiership.

Forrest records a season average rating of 6.66, with a high of 7.4 and a low of 6.22 – a narrow rating range that points to relative consistency across his appearances this campaign.

Forrest is a Scotland left winger whose senior path began with a move to Ayr United in July 2013; he later joined Livingston in July 2020, moved to Hearts in July 2022 and signed for Dundee in July 2026. His record includes a six-goal return in 2021–2022 and multiple four-goal seasons, reflecting periods of higher attacking output interspersed with more modest returns.

All recorded moves have been free transfers – he moved from Hearts to Dundee in July 2026, from Livingston to Hearts in July 2022 and from Ayr United to Livingston in July 2020; the initial move to Ayr United in July 2013 has no fee recorded. The transfer pattern is domestic and lateral within Scottish football rather than fee-driven upward moves.
